Nayeemuddin for Brothers again

Veteran coach Syed Nayeemuddin took charge of Brother Union for the eighth time yesterday. The 74-year-old, who was in Mohammedan's dugout last year but was released midway through the season.

He previously led Brothers to the league title in 2004.

However, in the professional football league era, Brothers has turned into a mediocre club and Nayeemuddin has become their go-to man whenever the club is in search of a coach.

The former Indian national captain came here two days ago and got to train with the team.

The Oranges were eliminated from the group stages of the Federation Cup after losing both their group matches. They lost 3-2 against Team BJMC before being thrashed 5-0 by Saif Sporting Club.
