Jobe hits hattrick as Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi go second

Gambian forward Pa Omar Jobe toppled Brazilian forward Robson Da Silva in the Bangladesh Premier Keague's top goal scorers' list, scoring a hattrick to power Sheikh Jamal DC to an emphatic 5-1 win over Uttar Baridhara Club at Bangabandhu National Stadium today.

Jobe, who started the match on the back of 17 goals including a hattrick against Arambagh KS in the first leg of the league, struck in the 15th, 23rd and 75th minute respectively to surpass Bashundhara Kings' forward Robson's 19 goals and grab pole position with 20 goals. Souleyman Sillah, Jobe's compatriot, netted a brace as Sheikh Jamal regained second position in the 13-team table with 42 points from 20 matches, forcing Abahani to stay in third position with 40 points from 20 matches.

Suman Reza scored the consolation goal for Uttar Baridhara Club as they remain in 10th position with 16 points.

At Birshrestha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur, an 88-minute strike from substitute Biplu Ahmed rescued champions Bashundhara Kings  as they won 1-0 against Arambagh KS.

Kings, who confirmed their back-to-back title in the previous match, raised their tally to 58 from 21 matches while Arambagh sat at the bottom of the table with five points from 20 matches.
