Holders Abahani knocked out of U-18 Football Tournament

Chittagong Abahani knocked out defending champions Dhaka Abahani in the third quarterfinal of the Walton U-18 Football Tournament at the Bangabandhu National Stadium yesterday.

Regulation time ended in a 1-1 draw before the port city side prevailed in tiebreak, beating their superior namesake 5-4 on penalty shootout.

Naymur Rahman Emon had given Dhaka Abahani the lead in the 67th minute from a spot-kick but Rasel Uddin equalised for Chittagong Abahani four minutes from time to take the game into tiebreak.
