Epyllion new champions in BGMEA CUP

Epyllion Group were crowned champions for the first time in the 4th BGMEA Cup inter-garments football tournament after defeating Laila Group’s Bando Design in an intense 4-3 tie breaker.

The game ended 1-1 in normal time with Jahid scoring for Epyllion and Shakil equalising for two-time champions Bando.

Thousands of football lovers among the garment industry came to the Bangladesh Army Stadium to support their favorite team. The match was telecasted live on Channel 9.

Bappy from Epyllion was named player of the final while his teammate Raju, also goalkeeping coach of Mohammedan Sporting Club, became best goalkeeper of tournament.

Versatile Apparel's Ali became top scorer of the tournament with 9 goals while Bando's Mridul was awarded the most valuable player.
