Eleta Kingsley finally debuts for Bangladesh after Tariq breaks deadlock

Eleta Kingsley made his long-awaited debut for Bangladesh as the Nigerian-born naturalised footballer kicked off the second-half's proceedings in their FIFA friendly match against 199-ranked Seychelles at the Sylhet District Stadium on Saturday.

The 33-year-old marksman was introduced at the interval after defender Tariq Kazi broke scored the game's opener in the 42nd minute with a header from a free-kick. The charges of Javier Cabrera took a deserving lead after a dominating display in the first half, where they allowed the visitors to take only one shot on target.  192-ranked Bangladesh are leading 1-0 at the time of filing the report. 

This is Bangladesh's fifth encounter against a team from Africa and, interestingly, an African naturalised footballer got to make his debut for Bangladesh. 

Prior to the match on Friday, captain Jamal Bhuiyan said, "Compared to other strikers, he [Eleta] is different because of his physic. He has been playing in Bangladesh for a long time and no one is like him in Bangladesh."
