CAMPBELL TO MANAGE MACCLESFIELD?

Sol Campbell has finally been presented with the chance to pivot into management after accepting an offer to take over as manager of Macclesfield Town. The former Tottenham, Arsenal and England centre-half has long complained about being overlooked for management positions despite, in his own humble estimation, being "one of the greatest minds in football." Now, according to several well-placed sources, Campbell has been given the opportunity he's been clamouring for. Campbell held talks with the Silkmen, who are currently five points adrift at the bottom of League Two, on Monday morning which apparently went well. He will now be tasked with delivering the club from relegation back down into the National League, having only been promoted last season following a six-year absence. -
