Bangladesh through to semifinal in SAFF U-18 C'ship

Bangladesh moved into the semifinal in the SAFF U-18 Championship after a goalless draw in their second and last match of Group A against India at the APF Stadium in Kathmandu today.

Having registered a 3-0 win in their first match against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh had required only a draw to progress.

Bangladesh and India earlier met twice in the previous two editions of this competition, with India winning the first encounter in tiebreak in 2015 while Bangladesh getting the better of their neighbours with a thrilling 4-3 victory two years ago.
