Bangladesh, Kyrgyzstan through to semis

Bangladesh were guaranteed a place in the semifinals of the Bangamata U-19 Women's International Gold Cup, courtesy of a 2-1 win for Kyrgyzstan over United Arab Emirates at the Bangabandhu National Stadium today.

Kyrgyzstan's 2-1 victory, coupled with Bangladesh's 2-0 victory over UAE in the tournament opener, ensured Bangladesh and Kyrgyzstan were through to the semifinals from Group B while UAE were eliminated with two defeats.

Bangladesh will square off against Kyrgyzstan in the group's last match on Friday to decide the group champions.
