4-day camp for U-23 booters

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) yesterday named a 24-man squad for a short four-day training camp this week in view of next year's AFC U-23 Championship Qualifiers in Bahrain. 13 of the 24 selected players have been part of either the senior team or the Olympic team in one or more of the three most recent assignments.

The training camp will be conducted from November 12 to 15, informed officials after a meeting of BFF's executive committee. The window, squeezed out from within the ongoing Federation Cup, was originally scheduled to host a couple of international friendly matches corresponding with the FIFA dates, but due to an apparent lack of interest from foreign sides, the game's local governing body has slotted in the five-day camp.

The meeting also decided to remove development committee chairman Badal Roy, replacing him with BFF president Kazi Salahuddin. Kazi Nabil Ahmed will act as the deputy chairman of the committee.
