Nepal friendly on Thursday

The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) yesterday confirmed that the national team will play a warm-up match against Nepal on Thursday as part of the team's preparation for the upcoming SAFF Championship.

“Today [Sunday] the All Nepal Football Association confirmed that Nepal team will arrive here on Tuesday night and play the friendly against Bangladesh on Thursday,” said BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag, adding that both Bangladesh and Nepal teams would leave on December 20 for Kerala, where the SAFF Championship kicks off on December 23.

Bangladesh and Nepal have been drawn in separate groups in the regional football competition. Bangladesh are in Group B along with holders Afghanistan, Maldives and Bhutan while Nepal are in Group B, which also comprises India and Sri Lanka. Bangladesh will begin their campaign against Afghanistan on December 24.
