Messi is ‘bad’, jests Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo cracks a joke at the expense of Lionel Messi.

Cristiano Ronaldo struck twice against Deportivo de La Coruna late in the match and though the forward suffered injury late in the match, he was in a frivolous mood before the start of the match.

While he was at the tunnel before kick-off, the mascot, who was a little child wanted to strike up a conversation with the Portuguese superstar.

The conversation however swiftly turned to Lionel Messi and Ronaldo could not help but cut in to crack a witty jibe at the expense of the Barcelona playmaker.

The youngster, who was attempting to strike up a conversation, told Ronaldo: "For me, you are the best player in the world and Messi..."

“Is Bad,” Ronaldo intervened before giving a thumbs up to his young fan. This just goes to show that no matter what the media make of the Messi-Ronaldo rivalry, the impetus for those sensational news bites often come from the players as well.
