Daily Star in quarterfinals

The Daily Star qualified for the quarterfinals of Kool-BSJA Media Cup with an all-win record after handing an emphatic 3-0 defeat to News24 in their last group match at the BFF astro-turf yesterday.

The Daily Star needed just a draw to qualify for the last eight, but they kept their winning run by thrashing News24, thanks to a hattrick from Mahmudul Hasan. The win set them up for today's quarterfinal clash against Channel24, who also emerged group champions with maximum six points.

In other matches, ETV, Jamuna TV, Shamakal and Janakantha recorded wins and qualified for the quarterfinals.
