Bashundhara confirm top-tier berth

Bashundhara Kings confirmed their promotion to the Bangladesh Premier League with two matches in hand after a single-goal victory over Bangladesh Police AC in the Bangladesh Championship League at the Birshrestha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur yesterday.

Rokonuzzaman Kanchan struck the all-important goal to raise the club's tally to 32 points from 16 matches, 10 more than third-placed Victoria SC.

Nofel SC, too, are on their way to promotion as they have 28 points and need just one point from the remaining two matches.
