Bangladesh Olympic team draw 1-1 against Bahrain

The Bangladesh Olympic team salvaged a 1-1 draw against Bahrain football team in the first Group B fixture of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup at the Shamsul Huda Stadium in Jessore today.

The host side took the lead in the 18th minute of the game as Yousuf Sifat scored from Rubel Mia’s angular pass.

However, Jashim Al Shaikh scored the equalizer for Bahrain from a defensive error from Bangladesh side in the 23rd minute of the game. 

During the 90th minute of the game, four minutes before the final whistle. Bahrain was playing with 10 players on the field as Anwar Ali was shown a red card and sent off the grounds because of an intentional hand ball. However, the host side could not take the advantage and the match ended with a 1-1 draw.
