Amiruddin treble powers Shaheen Asmayee

Amiruddin Sharifi struck a hattrick as Shaheen Asmayee FC kept their hopes of moving into the semifinals of Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup tournament alive with a 3-1 win over Manang Marshyangdi Club at MA Aziz Stadium on Wednesday.

Shaheen Asmayee struck from a counter-attack in the 36th minute as Amiruddin and Anwar Akbari moved into the Nepal team’s half before the former beat goalkeeper Dinesh Thapa Magar with a left-footed shot from outside the box.

Amiruddin doubled the lead with an angular shot in the 65th minute but Manang Marshyangdi Club reacted sharply to reduce the margin with a header from substitute Bimal Basnet in the 72nd minute.

It was again Amiruddin, who wrapped the victory converting a penalty and completed his hattrick in the 77th minute after Adama Boh Sissoko handled the ball inside the box.
