Jean-Paul Duminy struck the first hat-trick for South Africa in a World Cup during the first quarterfinal of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 against Sri Lanka at Sydney today.

Duminy dismissed Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews in the last ball of his eighth over.

In the first ball of his ninth over, he picked up Nuwan Kulasekara caught behind.

Tharindu Kaushal failed to survive the hat-trick ball when he was trapped leg before to a straighter delivery from Duminy.

With Duminy's hat-trick and Imran Tahir's four wickets, South Africa were all over Sri Lanka in the first match of the knockout phase of the tournament.
