Cricketer Sunny denied bail again

A Dhaka court today rejected a bail petition of cricketer Arafat sunny in connection with a case file under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Judge KM Shamsul Alam of the Cyber Tribunal passed the order after Suuny’s lawyer moved the bail petition.

Earlier on January 22, police arrested Sunny under the ICT Act after Nasrin Sultana, a 23-year-old woman who claimed to be Sunny's wife, filed the case with Mohammadpur Police Station.

Later on January 24, a Dhaka court rejected a bail petition of the cricketer and sent him to jail.

According to the case statement, Sunny threatened to reveal indecent photos of Nasrin on social media site Facebook.

Nasrin, in the case statement, claimed to be in a relationship with Sunny for the last seven years and also said that the couple got married on December 4, 2014.
