'We need to score 100s'

Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan expressed his frustration both over the inclement weather as well as the batsmen's failure to convert their good start into a big knocks.

The second and third day's play were washed out due to heavy rain after Bangladesh made 246 on the opening day.  "It is frustrating, but that is nothing in our hand, we can't do anything about this. What we need to focus on, whenever we get a chance to play, make sure we start well," said Shakib while he was talking to GTV, the broadcaster of the series, yesterday.

"Well if you see our scorecard, there are five six guys who got starts. Someone needed to score big runs and that didn't happen and that is the frustrating part. On the other side, everyone is contributing that's a good sign, but we would love to see more people get hundreds, and whenever they get a hundred we need to make sure of getting a big one," he responded when his attention was drawn to the lack of big innings'.

"It is very hard to score runs on this track because the ball is not coming onto the bat and therefore it is hard to play your shots. It is very difficult to score runs. At the same time it is difficult to get wickets if you are willing to play according to the ball and not make any mistakes. The pitch is not behaving the way as we expected. It is going to be harder when we get a chance," he added.

According to weather forecast no play is likely to take place today or tomorrow.
