Kohli-Anushka wedding photos sold for charity

India captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma on Monday got married in Italy, ending days of rumours and speculation.

Stars such as Sachin Tendulkar and Harbhajan Singh took to twitter to congratulate the couple. Even Pakistan cricketers such as Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Amir and Shoaib Akhtar congratulated the couple as wedding pictures got strewn across social media platforms by fans and well wishers of the celebrity couple.

The wedding was done privately but it still generated excitement among the fans as Kohli and Sharma -- dubbed "Virushka" by local media, matched the excitement level that Britain's Prince Harry and fiance Meghan Markle have in the West.

Fans were able to live through the excitement thanks to the wedding pics from the private event attended only by close friends and family. According to a report in Mid-Day, the pictures from the marriage ceremony have been sold by the couple to a leading American fashion magazine. The money generated from this, will in turn be given to a charity.
