Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) revised the ninth-round fixture of the ongoing Dhaka Premier League where Abahani's match against Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club has been shifted to BKSP from Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

Many have been smelling a rat in this change at a time when Abahani have been struggling for a Super League place with eight points from as many matches. “Prime Bank wanted to change their venue, as a result of which we had to shift the Abahani match,” CCDM coordinator Amin Khan explained the reason behind the change.

Prime Bank Cricket Club manager Saiful Islam however said that it was not the ninth-round match, but the 10th or 11th round match they wanted shifted.

“We played four matches in Mirpur and as many in BKSP and that is why we requested that our 10th or 11th round match be moved to Fatullah or Mirpur rather than the BKSP. We didn't play any match at Fatullah and the ninth-round match against Kalabagan Cricket Academy was scheduled to take place at Fatullah, but it has now been shifted to Mirpur, so you can say it is an unexpected gift.”

Abahani have so far played three matches at Fatullah, three at Mirpur and two in BKSP.
