Two cricket coaches were found dead at the Laudium cricket clubhouse in Centurion on Thursday morning, media reports.

Two others were found critically injured in the stadium which is 17 km east of Pretoria.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) expressed shock at the passing of the two coaches and the two who were critically injured.

The two deceased are Given Nkosi (24) and Charlson Maseko (26) who were both Laudium Cricket Club coaches, while those seriously injured are KFC Mini-Cricket Co-Ordinator Kagiso Masubelele (27) and Laudium Hub Head Coach and Co-Ordinator Obed Harvey Agbomadzie (27).

“On behalf of the CSA Family I extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of those who have lost their lives, and we pray that those who are injured will make a quick and complete recovery,” the CSA chief Haroon Lorgat said.

Ahead of the series in Bangladesh, the South African cricket community now has to deal with an unfortunate scenario that goes behind cricket. South African police services are currently investigating the matter.

Bangladesh are set to fly for South Africa tomorrow. Tigers do not have any matches in Pretoria.
