Shakib on top again

Shakib Al Hasan was again crowned as the world's best all-rounder in all three formats of the game. Shakib's place as the top all-rounder has been a bit topsy-turvy, with him being displaced after a series, only to reclaim it later. But we hope that from now on, he will hold on to that position for a long time.

Though Shakib had a good series against India with the ball, his contributions with the bat were vital as well and saw him rise to 31st place in the ODI batting rankings.

However, the story is not all about Shakib. Mustafizur Rahman, Bangladesh's newest sensation, claimed 13 wickets in the series and he went from an unranked nobody to becoming the 89th best bowler in the world.

Soumya Sarkar's impressive performaces with the bat, mostly in the first and third ODI, saw him rise up 14 places as he now sits in the 52nd position, while fellow opener Tamim Iqbal fell by one place to the 28th position.

Litton Kumar Das, another youngster, went from the 376th position to the 225th place, moving a whopping 151 places in the rankings.

Another allrounder of sorts, Nasir Hossain moved 4 places in the batting rankings, but his rise of 30 positions to the 110th position in the bowling rankings was the hot topic.
