Shakib first to take 50 wickets in T20Is for Bangladesh

Bangladesh ace allrounder Shakib Al Hasan became the first cricketer from his country to take 50 wickets in T20I cricket.

Shakib reached the milestone by picking up the wicket of Sikandar Raza in the last match of the 4-match T20I series against Zimbabwe today at Sheikh Abu Naser stadium in Khulna.

With 50 wickets in 42 matches, Shakib is the leading wicket taker for Bangladesh in T20Is, ahead of Abdur Razzak who has taken 44 wickets in 34 matches.

Shakib is also the highest wicket taker in Tests with 147 wickets in 42 matches, and the second highest wicket taker in ODIs with 206 wickets in 157 matches, only one wicket less than Abdur Razzak who tops the list.

On January 20, 2016, Shakib became the only sixth cricketer to make it to the elite club of players with 400 international wickets in the third T20I against Zimbabwe in Khulna.
