National cricket team's selectors have finalised a list of 32 cricketers ahead of the fitness camp, which will begin on Monday.

To assess their current fitness condition, the cricketers will undergo the Yo-Yo test -- involves a player shuttling between markers placed 20 meters apart, at increasing speeds, until exhaustion. The size of the squad will then be reduced to 21-22 members for the Asia Cup.

"We are going to start the fitness camp where we will take the Yo-Yo test. We are willing to see the fitness level of the players," chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu told the media on Sunday.

The fitness camp is part of fitness assessment for the players ahead of the announcement of the preliminary squad for the Asia Cup, informed Nannu.

"We have prepared a list of 32 cricketers and they will undergo the yo-yo test and then the skill camp will begin from August 8. Before that we will announce a squad of 21-22 members by August 5 or 6 and those players will be part of the skill camp for the Asia Cup," Nannu said.

However, Nannu also added that the results of the fitness camp won't be taken into consideration for the selection process as it is only to determine the current fitness level of the players.

According to Nannu, the chairman of cricket operations, head coach and the captain will have an important say before they finalise the squad.
