Bangladesh under-19s wrapped up the five-match Youth one-day series 4-1 with a 73-run win in the fifth match at Bert Sutfcliffe Oval in Lincoln today.

The visitors posted a mammoth total of 316 for eight in 50 overs on winning the toss and then bowled the hosts out for 243 in 43.4 overs. 

Bangladesh's batting innings was a collective effort as opener Tanzid Hasan top-scored with 71 while three batsmen -- Parvez Hossain Emon, Shahadat Hossain and Avishek Das scored 48 runs each. The opening stand was of 120 runs, coming in just 16 overs. 

Avishek was unbeaten, his innings of 36 deliveries featuring six fours. 

Pacer Shoriful Islam then wreaked havoc on the New Zealand batting line-up, taking five wickets for 43 runs in 8.4 overs. Rakibul Hasan took two wickets while Avishek, Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Shamim Hossain took one wicket each.

Bangladesh won the first match by six wickets, second match by the same margin and the third match by eight wickets. New Zealand won the fourth match by four wickets.
