Bangladesh cricket team returned home in the morning today following their successful tour of Zimbabwe. The Tigers landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 9:00am.

Bangladesh team, who completed a series sweep against Zimbabwe by winning the one-off Test, the three-match ODI series 3-0 and the T20I series 2-1, left the African nation on July 28.

The Tigers entered the bio-secure bubble for their upcoming Australia series after landing. They directly headed to Hotel InterContinental where they will quarantine for three days ahead of their five-match T20I series against Australia next month.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has already arranged two home series -- against West Indies and Sri Lanka -- during the coronavirus pandemic, but the cricketers would have to adhere to stricter Covid-19 protocols for their upcoming series against Australia, scheduled to begin on August 3.

The Australian team are also scheduled to arrive in the country at around 4:00pm today. Both sides will be in a three-day quarantine at the same hotel.
