Sylhet to host a Test match after five years

Sylhet will host the first of the two match Test series between host Bangladesh and New Zealand from November 28, revealed the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) while announcing Dutch Bangla Bank as the title sponsor for the three match ODI series between the two sides on Monday.

The second and final Test will take place at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on December 6.

The Sylhet International Cricket Stadium will host a Test match after five years since being inaugurated as the seventh Test venue in 2018 where Bangladesh lost the Test to Zimbabwe by 151 runs.

The New Zealand team are currently in Bangladesh to take part in the three match ODI series before both the teams travel to India to take part in the ICC ODI World Cup.

All the three day-night ODIs will take place in Mirpur where the first ODI is scheduled on September 21 while the second and third game will take place on September 23 and 26 respectively.
