Bangladesh premier all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will once again be playing for Jamaica Tallawahs in the upcoming Caribbean Premier League (CPL), announced the T20 league on Twitter today.

The upcoming edition of CPL is scheduled to begin from August 28.

Shakib could not play in the previous edition of the CPL due to serving a one-year ban imposed by the ICC in 2019.

Shakib had previously played for the Tallawahs in 2016 and 2017 editions, winning the title in his first stint with the franchise. The number one ODI all-rounder then played for Barbados Tridents in 2018 and also won the league with them in 2019.

Shakib is currently playing for Bangladesh in the ongoing three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka after returning from the Indian Premier League (IPL) following the league's suspension midway due to escalation in Covid cases in India.
