Mosaddek in doubt for Tests

Bangladesh all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain returned to Dhaka from India yesterday due to a family emergency, informed the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

Mosaddek, a member of both the Test and T20I squads, accompanied seven of the T20I squad returnees -- Mohammad Naim, Shafiul Islam, Soumya Sarkar, Arafat Sunny, Afif Hossain, Aminul Islam and Abu Hider -- who boarded the flight to New Delhi from Nagpur yesterday afternoon before getting on a flight back to Dhaka.

Mosaddek’s participation for the Tests remains in doubt with Tigers set to begin their Test Championship campaign with the Indore Test against India from November 14. The management has yet not decided whether a replacement will be required.

Meanwhile, there was happier news for right-arm pacer Al-Amin Hossain – also a member of both squads – as his wife gave birth to their second child yesterday.
