Kohli dropped as India consolidate after early blow

Bangladesh might end up regretting as stand-in skipper Liton Das dropped the crucial catch of India's star batter Virat Kohli early in the innings of their third and final ODI at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram today.

Kohli, on just one, tried to flick a Mehedi Hasan Miraz through midwicket but was deceived by the flight of the ball. It was travelling at a reasonable speed and at a very much catchable height but Liton seemed to have been taken aback as he fumbled and dropped a sitter.

Miraz, who has been in tremendous form in this series -- hitting his first ODI century in Bangladesh's five-run win in the second ODI after a match-winning 39-ball 38 in the series opener -- was the one to give Bangladesh their first breakthrough.

The all-rounder had opener Shikhar Dhawan trapped in front with his very first delivery today after being introduced in the fifth over.

India, despite some nervy shots, have consolidated since then, with Ishan Kishan and Kohli stitching over a fifty-run stand for the second wicket.

Kohli scored 10 off 16 not out while Ishan is unbeaten on 49 off just 48 deliveries as India reached 67 for one after 12 overs.
