‘Joker’ Rossouw emulates Mane’s FIFA celebration

Cumilla Warriors batsman Sabbir Rahman was caught by Rilee Rossouw off a Mohammad Amir delivery during their Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BBPL) clash against Khulna Tigers at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur today. The prized scalp of Sabbir, who scored a brilliant 39-ball 62, was celebrated by Rossouw in a unique fashion.

All-rounder Robbie Frylinck, who bagged a fifer to help Khulna Tigers win the game by 34 runs, said that Rossouw might have emulated his favourite soccer player and Liverpool forward Sadio Mane’s celebration.

“Rilee is probably the joker in our team. So good value and good fun. We play quite a bit of FIFA and that’s one of the footballers’ celebrations. I think it’s Sadio Mane’s celebration and Rilee supports him so he pulled that one up,” said Frylinck during the post-match press conference.

This is however not the first time Rossouw celebrated in this fashion. The left-hander was first seen doing such a celebration during the Chattogram phase of the tournament.
