Team management’s expectations always remain high from players like Mashrafe Bin Mortaza. However, Mashrafe, who is leading Dhaka Platoon in the ongoing Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BBPL), thought that team management does not expect anything extraordinary from the 36-year-old pacer.

Mashrafe, who was in A-plus category during the BBPL draft, was only picked by Dhaka Platoon in the eighth round after remaining unsold initially.

Mashrafe, who scalped just four wickets in seven matches, is yet to fire in the biggest domestic T20 league of the country.

When the charismatic leader was asked if the Dhaka team management expects anything extraordinary from him, he said that had the team management expected anything out of the box from him then he would not have been picked so late during the BBPL draft.

“I think the team management hopes everyone to perform and not only from me. I remain almost unsold. So who will expect anything from me? I mean if there were so much expectations from me then I would not have remained unsold [till the eighth round of draft].” said Mashrafe after their six-wicket defeat against Chattogram Challengers today.
