Wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim will miss the rest of the Super League matches of the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier League after hurting his left hand during their match against Gazi Group Cricketers on Monday.

The CT scan on Tuesday morning hand revealed hairline fracture on the Abahani captain's left hand, informed BCB's chief physician Debashish Chowdhury.

"There is a small hairline fracture on the index finger of Mushfiqur according to the CT scan. We have asked him to take a week's rest, after which we will assess his condition again. Since it's a hairline fracture, we expect him to recover quickly," Debashish told media today.

The former Bangladesh captain will have to sit out the rest of the Super League matches.

It is unclear, though, whether he will recover in time for the Tigers' tour to Zimbabwe. Bangladesh are expected to leave for Zimbabwe on June 29 for one Test, three ODIs and three T20s. The only Test will get underway on July 7.

Earlier, Tamim Iqbal and Taskin Ahmed were ruled out of the Super League stage of the BDPL with a knee injury and a hand injury respectively.
