Ais XI- Rest of the World T20s in Dhaka

Four players from India confrmed

Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan today said they have received four names from their Indian counterparts for the two T20 matches scheduled to take place in Dhaka next month marking the birth centennary of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

"We have received four names from India. There has not been any contract signed yet, but what we are hearing is that players like Shikhar Dhawan, Kuldip Yadav, Rishav Pant and Mohammad Shami will play. KL Rahul is supposed to play one match. Virat Kohli might play one match as well, but nothing is final yet," the BCB boss told reporters in Mirpur today. 

While he said there have not been any written agreements signed as yet, they have got verbal confirmation from marquee players from other countries for the two matches.

"We have finalised talks with Mujeeb Ur Rehman and Rashid Khan from Afghanistan, Sanpid Lamichhane from Nepal, Lasith Malinga and Thisara Perera from Sri Lanka. From Bangladesh, we will field Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim for sure. Apart from them, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mustafizur Rahman are expected to play. Liton Das is also likely to feature in the Asia XI. 

These players will feature for the Asia XI who will take on Rest of the World XI, likely featuring the likes of T20 King Chris Gayle, Johnny Bairstow, Lungi Ngidi, Faf du Plessis, among others, according to the BCB president.
