Delhi send Rajasthan packing

Rishabh Pant’s unbeaten knock of 53 runs from 38 balls helped Delhi Capitals secure a five-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals on Saturday. With this loss, Rajasthan are out of the playoffs battle.

After being asked to bat first, Rajasthan got off to a dreadful start as they lost four batsmen inside the powerplay overs.

However, Riyan Parag scored a maiden half-century to help Rajasthan post a respectable 115/9 on the board. Delhi, in response, got off to a decent start but Ish Sodhi picked up the wickets of Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw in his first over as the hosts were reduced to 28/2 in 3.2 overs.

Delhi: 121 for 5 in 16.1 overs (Pant 53 not out; Sodhi 3-26, Gopal 2-21)
