Bangladesh U-19 lose first ODI against Afghanistan 

Bangladesh Under-19 cricket team lost the first ODI of the two-match series by 158 runs against Afghanistan at the Tolerance Oval in the UAE on Monday.
 

Sohail Khan Zurmati's unbeaten 100 and opener Suliman Arabzai's 55 helped Afghanistan to 271 after being put into bat first. 

Maruf Mridha and Wasi Siddique scalped two wickets each for the young Tigers.

In reply, Bangladesh were blown away by Afghanistan's Yama Arab and Faridoon Dawadzai who took seven wickets between them to help bundle out the young Tigers for just 113 with 22.1 overs remaining.

Bangladesh's Jishan Alam top-scored with a 23-ball 27.

Yama starred with four wickets for 29 runs, while Faridoon gave away 32 runs to take three wickets. 

The second ODI will be played on Wednesday at the same venue.
