Pakistan paceman Mohammad Amir and batsman Asif Ali are set to be included in the World Cup squad, reports from Pakistan suggest.

Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmad, Chief Selector Inzamamul Haq and Head Coach Micky Arthur are said to have taken the decision, the reports suggest.  Struggling all-rounder Faheem Ashraf and newly-selected opener Abid Ali will make way for both players. The 15-member squad will be announced May 23, a deadline set by International Cricket Council (ICC).

Asif impressed the selectors with two fifties in the second and third ODI against England. Amir is currently undergoing treatment for chickenpox in London. The left-arm paceman has been struggling for form but could be a key member if he is in fact included.
