Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi today extended good wishes to India and Bangladesh cricket teams, who are scheduled to lock horns in an ICC World Cup T20 match at Bengaluru this evening.

The Indian premier hoped that sportsman spirit would prevail over the result of the match. He was speaking through video conference while launching the exchange of power and internet bandwidth between India and Banlgadesh.

"I extend lots of good wishes to both teams. When our two teams play with each other, our youths rise much above victory or defeat, and infuse the energy of sportsman spirit in bilateral ties," he said.

"I hope that the two teams play with same sportsman spirit and demonstrate that spirit to the world," he said. He also wished his counterpart Sheikh Hasina warm greetings of the Holi.
