Masakadza, Raza fire Zimbabwe to 290

Fantastic knocks from opener Hamilton Masakadza and the dependable Sikandar Raza propelled Zimbabwe to 290 for the loss of six wickets against Sri Lanka in the second ODI of the tri-nation series.

Solomon Mire and Masakadza gave Zimbabwe a fantastic start as they featured in a 78-ball 76-run partnership before Zimbabwe lost their first wicket in the 13th over. Masakadza struck a brilliant 83-ball 71 with 10 fours in his innings. He missed out on the opportunity to score a ton on the occasion of SNBCS’s 100th ODI when he fell in the 28th over.

However Sikandar Raza came in and played a scorcher of a knock. The right hander’s 67-ball 81 ensured that Zimbabwe posted a massive total on the board.
