Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli had a tough day at the office as his India teammate MS Dhoni mastered a stunning innings to hand Chennai Super Kings (CSK) victory against RCB. The India captain had further misery heaped upon him as he was fined RS 12 Lakh for his side’s slow over-rate.

"As it was his team's first offence of the season under the IPL's Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Kohli was fined Rs 12 lakh (approx AUD$24,000)," an IPL press release said.

Slow over-rate has been an epidemic in this year’s IPL as 22 of the 24 matches played this season did not finish within the allotted timeframe.
