The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the 15-member Test squad for the two Tests on their tour of West Indies without injured pacer Mustafizur Rahman on Monday. Mustafizur however has been kept on the standby list.

The selectors made six changes from the last Test squad that played against Sri Lanka earlier this year at home, with pacer Abu Jayed getting a maiden Test call-up.

There were comebacks for young left-handed batsman Nazmul Hossain and wicketkeeper-batsman Nurul Hasan, both of whom had Test debuts against New Zealand in early 2017. Pacer Shafiul Islam also returned to the side for the first time since the tour of South Africa last year, while Rubel Islam is back after being dropped for the second Test against Sri Lanka.

The players missing out were Sabbir Rahman, Mosaddek Hossain, Naeem Hassan, Tanbir Hayder and veteran spinner Abdur Razzak.

The West Indies Test will be skipper Shakib Al Hasan's first in charge since being reappointed in 2017, and the first Test starting from July 4 in Antigua will also be his first Test since the Australia series in August-September last year.

Bangladesh is scheduled to leave for West Indies on June 23 to play two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is.
