Rumana four-for takes Bangladesh to India

Beat Zimbabwe by 31 runs

Allrounder Rumana Ahmed powered the Bangladesh women's cricket team to the ICC Women's World Twenty20 India in 2016, as her side easily defeated Zimbabwe by 31 runs at Thailand cricket ground today.

Bangladesh scored 89 runs losing half their side after Zimbabwe skipper CS Mugeri won the toss and chose to field in the first semifinal.

Fargana Hoque’s a 43-ball 43 steady knock and Sharmin Akhter’s 22 runs from 34 balls took the scoreboard to 89 for 5 in their stipulated 20 overs. J Nkomo bagged two wickets for Zimbabwe.

 

 

In their chase, Zimbabwe was blown away by the 24-year-old leg-spinner Rumana, who took four wickets. Fahima Khatun and Shaila Sharmin captured two wickets each.

P Mujaji with 10 runs could post the only double digit score for Zimbabwe.
