Dale Steyn uncertain for Bangladesh Tests

South African speedstar Dale Steyn's participation in the upcoming Tests against Bangladesh took a hit when he pulled out of next week's first-class fixture between the Titans and the Dolphins.

The quick was planning to return to action with the four-day game but felt that a four-day match could be too much for his body, since he has not played cricket for a while.

While talking to ESPNcricinfo, Steyn said: "I've decided not to play right now. I'm bowling fine but I haven't hit the full workload I'd need to handle four-day cricket or a Test so I decided it was best not to play."

"Playing the four-day game would have given me a chance for selection in the Tests but I don't want to put myself or the team in a position where I pull up again. Some shorter cricket might be the better answer for a reintroduction."

Without  Steyn, the Proteas may line up with Morne Morne Morkel, Kagiso Rabada and Vernon Philander as they did against England.

The speedstar however has not ruled out playing limited-overs cricket and suggested that he will play some club games to get some overs under his belt.
