Cricketer Arafat Sunny today got bail in a case filed under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act, paving way for his release from jail.

Judge KM Shamsul Alam of the Cyber Tribunal cleared him after Nasrin Sultana, the woman who claimed to be Sunny’s wife, said she had no objection with the bail.

Sunny’s lawyer moved a petition seeking bail in the case. Now there is no legal bar to get release from the jail, said one of Sunny’s lawyers.

On March 9, Sunny secured a month’s bail in the torture case filed by Nasrin.
