Pakistan cricketer Zubair Ahmed died on Wednesday after being hit by a bouncer on the head during a club match at Mardan District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province on Monday.

Zubair, who had played four games for the List A and T20 team Quetta Bears, reportedly didn't have his helmet on when he was struck on the head.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) took to social media to inform people of the sad demise and remind players the need to wear a helmet at all times at the batting crease.
