Bangladesh youths whitewash WI U19

Bangladesh U-19 cricket team today beat West Indies U-19 by 16 runs in the 3rd ODI of the Youth ODI Series at Zahur Ahmed Stadium in Chittagong, winning the series 3-0.

Winning the toss, Bangladesh opted to bat first and scored 235 for seven in 50 overs. Opener Saif Hassan top scored for Bangladesh with 107 not out, while Shafiul Hayet was run out after scoring 61 runs.

Chasing 236 runs to win, West Indies U-19 team was all out for 219 runs in 49.5 overs. Bangladesh bowler Sanjit Saha, who bagged a 5-wicket haul giving away only 21 runs in 10 overs, brought in regular breakthroughs, not allowing the opposition batsmen to build on big partnerships.

Sanjit was awarded Man of the Match while Saif Hassan became the Man of the Series.
