The ever dependable Bangladesh batsman Mushfiqur Rahim steamrolled a century against Pakistan in the first match of the home series at Mirpur today.

His century made a new record for Bangladesh – to have an ODI match where two batsmen struck hundreds – after Tamim Iqbal's fifth international ton.

Mushfiq's hundred came at a swift pace in just 69 balls with a strike rate of 147 – contributed with 13 boundaries and two big sixes.

This was his third century in ODI cricket and first against Pakistan. He ended up with 106 from 77 balls.
