Former Pakistan pace bowler Aaqib Javed refused the role of the Bangladesh national cricket team’s bowling coach.

The former Pakistan national bowling coach refused the offer from Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) as he mentioned that it would not be possible for him to perform two duties at a time.

“Aaqib has preferred his role with the Lahore Qalandar and he politely said that it would not be possible for him to continue with two huge responsibilities,” informed BCB media committee chairman Jalal Yunus.

On Sunday, BCB president Nazmul Hassan Papon said that the BCB had contacted former Pakistan national bowling coach and also added that aside from Aaqib they have also made an alternative list of coaches.

BCB is looking for a new bowling coach after the contract with Zimbabwean Heath Streak ended last month.
