BD teams win

Bangladesh men and women's teams won their fifth round games of the 43rd World Chess Olympiad in Georgia on Friday.

The men's team beat Madagascar by 3-1 game points while the women's team beat Singapore by the same margin.

GM Mollah Abdullah Al Rakib, GM Ziaur Rahman and FM Fahad Rahman won while FM Khandaker Aminul Islam lost.

In the women's section, WFM Sharmin Sultana Shirin and WFM Zakia Sultana won while WFM Tanima Parveen and WIM Rani Hamid drew.
