Bangladesh stormed into the semifinals of 4th Boys' U-18 Asia Cup with a massive 10-0 win over Oman in Pool A final match at the Maulana Bhasani Hockey Stadium on Tuesday.

Bangladesh, who emerged Pool A champions with all win record, will now face Chinese Taipei on Thursday's one of the semifinals while Pakistan, who maintained their hundred percent record with a 14-0 win over Hong Kong, became Pool B champions to book their place in the last four, where they’ll lock horns with India.

Being inspired with a moral boosting 5-4 win over mighty India, hosts Bangladesh went for the jugular from the onset and killed the game in the first half by scoring seven goals. In the second half, they took their foot off the pedal and preserved their energy for the semis.

Mahabub Hossain broke the deadlock in the fourth minute with a fierce hit inside the circle after captain Roman Sarkar nicely provided a cutback from the right. Afterwards, the home side toyed with Oman to score one goal after another. Mohammad Mohsin and penalty corner specialist Ashraful Islam scored three goals each while Fazle Rabbi netted two goals. Arshad Hossain scored one.
